Lisa Forte

Lisa Forte is a firecracker of love and grace. She is consistently pushing the boundaries of what is comfortable and status quo to bring women into the fullness of the presence of God. She did not set out to lead a women’s movement but to find one where women were unified, encouraged, equipped, and empowered. When her search left her empty handed, she knew something had to be done. After more than a few long conversations with the Lord and a few friends Redeem Her Now was born.

Lisa has been serving people with healing and compassion for more than 15 years as a nurse practitioner in Middle TN. She has worked in adult oncology as well as internal medicine.  She recently received her credentials as an Assembly of God Licensed Minister, and she continues to serve women as the founder and president of Redeem Her Now.

Lisa received her undergraduate degree in biology at the Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana and her graduate nursing degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lisa lives in Hendersonville with her husband, Greg, their two boys and their dog Storm. Lisa and Greg serve as coaches for Upward basketball and their family serves at Cornerstone Nashville where they have been members for 14 years. In their spare they love boating, cooking, eating ice cream and just enjoying life together!

A few years ago, Lisa began working with End Slavery Tennessee a non-profit that promotes healing of human trafficking survivors and strategically confronts slavery. During her time there she learned of the horrific treatment of women and children not just overseas, but right her in her backyard in Middle Tennessee. God began to birth in her an overwhelming passion for women and the desire to help women heal physically, psychologically, and spiritually. In her quest to find a ministry that would help women in any season or situation find healing from crisis to victorious living she was left wanting. Instead, she found niche ministries, systematic shortfalls, loopholes, and cracks in systems that left thousands of women still hurting and longing for hope and healing.

It was then that God began to birth a dream in her to create a place where women could gather and find encouragement, be equipped with the Word, and empowered to change their world. Lisa didn’t birth Redeem alone it was a community effort. Friends and family came along with encouragement, visions and Words of knowledge speaking into existence what has become Redeem Her Now.

Redeem Her Now currently has classes, monthly gatherings, biblical counseling, and mentoring. This is only the beginning the God size dream includes facilities to house, help and rehabilitate hurting women wherever they are in life. A life center that provides, housing, counseling, and service to help women from struggle to victory.
